My family and I have lived in a Northern White Cedar log home for over three decades. Their stunning aesthetics make the perfect backdrop for all your activities.

From sipping wine by the roaring fire while the snow falls to enjoying a fabulous dinner on your back deck on a warm summer evening, there is nothing like what atmosphere a log home brings to your safe haven. Log home living is truly a lifestyle that symbolizes getting back to nature with a Zen place to relax and therefore renew yourself.

Log homes come in all shapes and sizes and feature amenities like stone fireplaces, walls of expansive glass, and soaring cathedral ceilings. Our custom homes can  also feature steam showers, infrared saunas, and outdoor kitchens that make you realize…this is not Abe Lincoln’s cabin anymore.

Nora has over 35 years of experience in the log home industry. She not only grew up in a cedar log home, but she also grew up in the log home business. Yes, Nora is Lynda’s daughter, which makes this a family affair.

Nora received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Slippery Rock University. Her love for education didn’t stop there. She holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance and another Master’s degree in Space Studies. She completed her Ph.D. merely for her love of education and everything space…that is, outer space.

When not working, Nora enjoys spending time with her son, Mason, 19, and playing video games. Nora played wheelchair basketball for almost 20 years for the Pittsburgh Steelwheelers. She helped to co-found the only all-female wheelchair basketball team in Western PA called the Steel City Starz.

Nora and Lynda both have dedicated many hours of their time to spinal cord injury research and awareness. From the Pittsburgh Steelwheelers to the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, they have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for many charitable organizations.

Don’t hesitate to ask Nora for help designing an ADA/wheelchair-accessible home. She has built her own and has plenty of real-world experience navigating a log home in a wheelchair.

Michelle has been a member of our family since she and Nora attended college together 35 years ago. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of science in Business Management. She had a long career in the newspaper industry before becoming involved with Cedar Direct Log Homes in 2010.

Over the years, Michelle has held various positions with Cedar Direct. She is now the liaison to our dealers and their customers, providing support and coordinating deliveries of our log home packages.

When Michelle is not working, she enjoys studying karate, and she is always up for a good game of billiards or a Texas Hold ‘em tournament.

When not working in the log home business, She occasionally enjoys modeling. She loves spending time with her family, working out, and creating memories with friends. Also, Diane restores vintage furniture giving these pieces new life.
