Why Choose Northern White Cedar?

Cedar Direct uses only nature's best, Northern White Cedar

The USDA Forestry Division ranks Northern White Cedar (NWC) as one of the three top wood species for exterior buildings. NWC has low moisture content and shrinkage factor and requires very little maintenance. Visit our Cedar vs. Pine page to learn why NWC is a superior wood for log home building.

The Phoenix Rises From The Ashes

“After surviving the total devastation of a house fire, I was fortunate to find Cedar Direct Log Homes to help me rebuild my dream log home. I have been blessed throughout this entire process with CDLH. Lynda Schneider, the President, designed my new log home from the ground up to fit the existing foundation that remained after the fire. They supplied my log cabin kit, and I could not be happier. From start to finish, Cedar Direct was there throughout the entire process to help me rebuild.”

Now, I could build the home of my dreams. Constructing a new home under the best circumstances can be stressful; constructing one from afar would only add to the intimidation. (read full excerpt)

Perhaps the most meaningful appraisal of our experience might be to ask, “If you could do it all over again, would you choose CEDAR DIRECT LOG HOMES? Our answer: a resounding “YES!”
